Ba donates $1k for cancer victims

Newly crowned Battle Of Giants champion Ba has donated $1000 from its $11,000 prizemoney received to the Fiji Cancer Society to help people suffering from the killer disease.

Ba President Rishi Kumar the team has been doing a lot of community work and after winning the tournament, the players and management decided to give away $1000 for a worthy cause.



"This is not something new for us as we have done many things for the community in the past," he said.

"We want people to know and feel united and our little contribution will surely help in making some difference in people's lives."

"Our children, brothers and sisters are suffering from this killer disease and as humans it is our duty and responsibility to help them out in whatever way possible."

"I am also urging people to come forward and help the Fiji Cancer Society and the WOWS campaign,"he added.

Ba lifted its 15th Batttle Of Giants title at Churchill Park in Lautoka on Sunday after beating Labasa 4-2 in an exciting final which ended after the penalty shootout.
