THE Fiji Football Association will continue with the 90 minute during the Battle of the Giants and Fiji FACT despite recording a low turning out in Lautoka over the weekend.

The Inkk Mobile BOG attracted best crowd on Saturday with over 7000 fans witnessing the day four action.

Over 5000 spectators watched the final between Ba and yesterday.

Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel said 90 minute football was here to stay.

"The fans loved it," Patel said.

"There were many goals scored. The standard of football is getting better. For our national team they need to play 90 minute football.

"The media is the first to criticise about the standard. So we are here to develop football in a better manner and adapt to the FIFA standard."

"The crowd disappointment will be there as we had the Sugar Festival underway. Then the hardship of the floods and also this is the cane cutting season. But we will take things in our stride. Always it will not be the same. Once the people see the excitement they will come."

A total of 52 goals were scored in the five day tournament.
