Tuimasi Manuca proved his worth for Ba tonight as his two strikes put the Men In Black into the final of the 2012 Battle Of Giants.

A goal in each half by the marksman was enough to see Ba beat host Lautoka 2-0 in the second semifinal at Churchill Park.

The match commenced on a fast pace with Osea Vakatalesau keep the Blues defence on alert while Valerio Nawatu missed a couple of sitters in the first spell.

Against the run of play, Manuca managed to make full use of a Tamanisau mistake to put the ball into the net in the 32nd minute as Ba led 1-0 at the break.

Another sublime finish by Manuca after the restart was enough to send the traditional giants of Fiji Football into the final.

Ba manager Arvin Singh said his players stuck to their game plan and this made the difference.

"The instruction from the coach was to play simple football and not to rush play. The boys exactly did this and our tactics worked well," he said.

"The final will be very tough and exciting and we will come out all prepared for the Labasa match tomorrow."

Lautoka coach Lamber Sarju accepted defeat in good faith and said it was not their day today.

"Ba proved to be the better team on the say as they played well and scored the goals which mattered. We had our fair share of chances and could have won as well."

"The injury to Alvin Avinesh made things difficult for us but the other players did give their best. We will now try to give our best tomorrow against Nadi and will try to finish third," he added.

Ba will play Labasa in the final at 3pm tomorrow.
